Kerala Backwaters Honeymoon

Mararikulam Is the cleanest sandy beach in the whole of Kerala. Kumarakom is a tourist paradise famous for its backwater tourism. It is set in the backdrop of the Vembanad Lake, the largest freshwater lake in the state of Kerala. Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches.

Daywise Itinerary for Tour  Kerala Backwaters Honeymoon

Day 01 : Cochin - Mararikulam (30 Kms/ 1 Hrs)

Arrive Cochin and proceed to Mararikulam, one of the south's most virgin, secluded and unspoilt beach. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight stay at Mararikulam.

Day 02 : Mararikulam

Full day is at leisure or you can stroll along the beach. Overnight stayt at hotel.

Day 03 : Mararikulam - Kumarkom (30 Kms/ 1 Hrs)

After breakfast drive to Kumarkom. On arrival Check-in at the hotel. Afterwards visit the bird sanctuary-the main attraction here. It has numerous species of birds, including Darters, Bitterns, Brahminy Kites, Marsh Harries, Teals and several varieties of Herons roost. Rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the backwaters of Kerala. Overnight stay at Kumarakom.

Day 04 : Kumarkom

Full day will be at your leisure. You can optionally take an opportunity to try out the famous ayurvedic massage of Kerala or take a boat ride on the scenic backwaters of Kerala. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05 : Kumarkom - Kovalam (185 Kms/ 5 Hrs)

After breakfast drive to Kovalam. Arrive Kovalam and check - in at hotel. You can sunbath on the silver palmgroves. Rest of the day is free for independent activities or free to stroll along the beach. Overnight stay at Kovalam.

Day 06 : Kovalam - Kanyakumari - Kovalam (86 Kms / 2-3Hrs one way)

Morning after breakfast take an excursion to Kanyakumari, the most southernly point of India visiting Suchindram Temple, visit Vivekananda Rock at Kanyakumari. On the way you can stop at a splendid 17th century wooden palace of a former local king. Return to Kovalam after enjoying the sunset on the beach. Overnight stay at Kovalam.

Day 07 : Kovalam - Trivandrum (16 Kms

After breakfast transferred to Trivandrum Airport for onward destination
